The Interface of Noncommutative Geometry and Physics

چکیده
As a mathematical theory per se, noncommutative geometry (NCG) is by now well established. From the beginning, its progress has been crucially influenced by quantum physics: we briefly review this development in recent years. The Standard Model of fundamental interactions, with its central role for the Dirac operator, led to several formulations culminating in the concept of a real spectral triple. String theory then came into contact with NCG, leading to an emphasis on Moyal-like algebras and formulations of quantum field theory on noncommutative spaces. Hopf algebras have yielded an unexpected link between the noncommutative geometry of foliations and perturbative quantum field theory. The quest for a suitable foundation of quantum gravity continues to promote fruitful ideas, among them the spectral action principle and the search for a better understanding of “noncommutative spaces”.

Singlet scalar dark matter in noncommutative space
In this paper, we examine the singlet scalar dark matter annihilation to becoming the Standard Model particles in the non-commutative space. In the recent decades, many candidates of dark matter have been offered, but our information about the nature of dark matter is still limited. There are such particle candidates as scalar matetr, fermion, boson, gauge boson, etc.; however, they have nei...
متن کاملCT-Based Brachytherapy Treatment Planning using Monte Carlo Simulation Aided by an Interface Software
Introduction: In brachytherapy, radioactive sources are placed close to the tumor, therefore, small changes in their positions can cause large changes in the dose distribution. This emphasizes the need for computerized treatment planning. The usual method for treatment planning of cervix brachytherapy uses conventional radiographs in the Manchester system. Nowadays, because of their advantages ...
متن کاملStability of additive functional equation on discrete quantum semigroups
We construct a noncommutative analog of additive functional equations on discrete quantum semigroups and show that this noncommutative functional equation has Hyers-Ulam stability on amenable discrete quantum semigroups. The discrete quantum semigroups that we consider in this paper are in the sense of van Daele, and the amenability is in the sense of Bèdos-Murphy-Tuset. Our main result genera...

Noncommutative geometry is based on an idea that an associative algebra can be regarded as " an algebra of functions on a noncommutative space ". The major contribution to noncommutative geometry was made by A. Connes, who, in particular, analyzed Yang-Mills theories on noncommutative spaces, using important notions that were introduced in his papers (connection, Chern character, etc). It was f...
